Industry Leader Garmin-Navionics Return As AIM

Weekend Walleye Series Sponsors For 2019

Garmin has quickly climbed to claim the top spot for electronics among serious anglers, alongside its partner since 2018, Navionics, the plotter and fish finder program leader; and the 2019 AIM Weekend Walleye Series (AWWS) again welcomes both as series sponsors.

Garmin and its partner Navionics recognize that their ongoing support of AIM’s trademarked Catch-Record-Release format is key to preserving walleye and other fish numbers across the globe, and we’re extremely pleased to continue our relationship with these companies that feature systems that lead the industry,” said AIM National Tournament Director Denny Fox.

“And, there’s a bonus for using Garmin electronics. If the winning team at any AWWS tournament uses Garmin electronics permanently mounted in their boat, they’ll earn an extra $1,000 from Garmin,” Fox said.

“In addition, each Thursday following one of our tournaments, Navionics will award the angler registering the biggest fish of that tournament a new Navionics SD card covering the northern U.S., including the Great Lakes. Talk about superior fishing tools, and you’re talking Garmin and Navionics,” he added.

Garmin’s PanOptix system must be experienced to be believed.  It gives you the ability to see all around your boat in three dimensions, and in real time. You can actually watch as fish move in front, to the sides and to the rear of your position. LiveScope Forward allows you to see what’s swimming up to 200 feet in front. Livescope Down does the same up to 200 feet below, with real time action. Both are included on one transducer. The system was awarded both ICAST 2018 New Products Showcase Best of Show Award, and the National Marine Equipment Association 2018 Technology Award.

The Garmin lineup also includes its popular GPS units for autos, multisport watches, handheld GPS units to find your way through the woods, dash and backup cameras, and lots more.

Navionics HotMaps Platinum will safely take you to fishing spots on more than 23,000 lakes, ponds and reservoirs North America. Platinum+Marine includes offshore saltwater mapping for California, Oregon, Florida, Boston and New York. Navionics+Marine and Lakes also includes saltwater mapping for Europe.

Add Navionics plotting products with features like automatic dock-to-dock routing, satellite overlays, community edits for up-to-date local information, and daily updates.

Garmin and Navionics, a great combination whatever you want to fish for, wherever you want to go on the water.
