Yamaha Re-Ups As Presenting Sponsor For What Will Be

A Momentous 2020 Weekend Walleye Series

Quiet, dependable and powerful Yamaha Outboards has renewed its support for AIM’s unique Catch-Record-Release™ format, by signing up again as a presenting sponsor for the 2020 AIM Weekend Walleye Series.

“This season will be full of great things for our anglers and our fans, and we’re very proud to say that Yamaha will again be a part of it all,” said AIM National Tournament Director Denny Fox.

“AIM began six seasons ago with the goal of ensuring that tournament fishing’s future is bright, and that means opening the opportunity to join in the fun for any angler. Yamaha has been a sponsor since Day One. That trust is appreciated by AIM, and is shown in continuing partnerships with such great companies as Yamaha, and the support of all our anglers and fans. In the next month, we’ve got some exciting plans to announce that will make the AWWS even more fun,” Fox teased.

Yamaha power in the shape of a 150 four-stroke again will be on the stern of a Warrior V1898DC that someone will trailer away as first prize from AIM’s 2020 Warrior Boats National Championship Shootout. Yamaha also is the main sponsor of AIM’s Team Of The Year (TOY) contest, and again will be giving each TOY winner in Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota a new Yamaha 9.9 kicker four-stroke.

AIM anglers competing with Yamaha power also are eligible for the Yamaha Power Pay program. Bonus contingency pay from Yamaha ranges from $750 to $2,000. To sign up, go to the Power Pay website for details.

At the top of Yamaha’s pack is the new 425-hp 5.6L XTO Offshore, enough gumption to get you to your spots first with plenty of power to spare. Yamaha also is the supplier of the quiet-running 9.9-hp kicker, awarded each AIM divisional Team Of The Year winner.

Yamaha’s 2020 lineup includes the 4.2-liter V6 V MAX SHO 200 X-Shaft, four-stroke introduced in mid 2019, just one of the Yamaha SHO motors that give you a choice from 250 to 90 horsepower, and along with new props to cut the water. Yamaha is THE choice of many tournament pros.

And in January, Yamaha debuted, the lightweight F20, and T25 for fuel-efficient, four-stroke reliability.

We’ll have more upcoming exciting announcements at AIM’s Facebook site, including all info on AIM 2020 events, throughout the holiday season. The on-water fun starts with Opening Day, April 5 on the Fox River at De Pere, WI. To register for all AIM tournaments, go to aimfishing.com.
