AIM Weekend Walleye Series Announces Yamaha Marine As A Presenting Sponsor For The 2018 Season
Anglers Insight Marketing LLC (AIM) is proud to announce that Yamaha Marine is again a presenting sponsor for the 2018 AIM Weekend Walleye Series.
“Yamaha has been a Presenting Sponsor of the AIM Weekend Walleye Series (AWWS) since it began. Yamaha is an exceptional fit for us, and AIM’s core tournament philosophy is obviously a fit for Yamaha, and for AIM Fan Nation,” said Denny Fox, AWWS National Tournament Director. “Yamaha’s 150hp four-stroke will also be on the stern of the grand prize Warrior boat for the team winning June’s AIM National Championship June 1-2 on Wisconsin’s Chippewa Flowage near Hayward,” said Fox. “Having Yamaha as a returning sponsor year after year is a great vote of confidence for us, and what makes AIM unique among major tournaments, our Catch-Record-Release™ format.”
First off is its new 5.3L V8 F350C, which delivers all those horses and durability on the water with a minimum pump octane of 89 gas, saving you hundreds at the pump over its long life, available in traditional Yamaha gray or its new color, pearlescent white, and including a standard five-year limited warranty.
The new color scheme is also available on Yamaha’s proven 4.2L V6 F300. We all know how weight affects fuel economy for those long runs to the fish. These engines are up to 73 pounds lighter than some competitors, resulting in up to 17 percent more efficiency at cruise RPM, allowing you to find walleye where others can’t.
In another nod to walleye anglers, Yamaha has a new, optional 25-inch shaft, especially for that size transom, available on these engines.
There’s also another power option in Yamaha’s V Max SHO® series, a 90hp four-stroke offering more off-the-line torque and speed, and also producing 35 amps of power for your electronics.
Take a close look at Yamaha’s new mid-range four-strokes. Both the 90hp and the 75hp model are 13 pounds lighter than previous power plants, while also stepping up to a bigger, 1.8-liter displacement. The 90 also features a 25-inch shaft option for multi-species boats with that size transom. Like its larger-horsepower brothers, it also features a powerful alternator to help keep your electronics batteries topped off all day.
Now, anyone on the AIM circuit will tell you that 90 percent of the battle is boat control. Once you find fish, you’ve got to stay on ’em. And for the ultimate boat control experience, Yamaha also introduces Helm Master® with Set Point™, compatible with Digital Electronic Control 150hp models on up. It features three modes allowing you to lock on a spot or do a controlled drift, plus make difficult maneuvers close to the dock or other craft a piece of cake.
Whether you’re after river ’eyes, or aboard a Warrior on the Great Lakes, Yamaha power will get you there, and maybe even more important, back again.
