AIM Weekend Walleye Series Welcomes Offshore Tackle, Airwave Pedestals, As Return Sponsors For 2018 Season
Two of the top names in fishing and boating are returning as sponsors for the 2018 AIM Weekend Walleye Series. American-made Offshore Tackle Products, and Airwave seat pedestals, make fishing easier, and boating smoother, for AWWS anglers and Fan Nation.
“When it comes to quality and comfort on the water, both Offshore Tackle, with its readily recognizable and easy to see yellow planer boards, and AirWave Pedestals, are top-of-the-line,” said Denny Fox, AWWS National Tournament Director. “We can’t be more happy to have them back this season, and Airwave pedestals will be one of the prizes at the AIM National Championship, June 1-2 on Wisconsin’s Chippewa Flowage.”
“I love AIM’s format, the Catch-Record-Release™ especially,” said Nick DeShano, who, with father Bruce, operate Offshore, based on Saginaw Bay in Port Austin, Mich. “You’ve got certain lakes where there are slot limits, and others with other regulations. With AIM, you don’t have to catch fish in the right order to win. The biggest fish wins.”
This year, many anglers on the AIM circuit, and others in Fan Nation, will be using Offshore’s newest product, developed by a Wisconsin angler, and fine-tuned by Offshore, its EZ Crankbait Tuner. Many cranks do not run straight, straight out of the box. That causes lines to inexplicably cross, and dramatically drops your chances of netting walleye. Using the tuner is simple, and makes making those lures run true every time. It’s definitely a must in your tackle box, guaranteed. Here’s a link to a video explaining the tool.
Another long-time AIM sponsor is AirWave. You already know what a pounding your back, and in fact, entire body, can take when running to your favorite walleye water even in calm conditions, but especially in a chop. AirWave seats literally take the pain out of that run, says Al Bauman, Airwave president.
“Our pedestals are compact, durable, and they save your back,” Bauman said. AirWave pedestals are easily adjustable. Instead of working with springs or fluids, they use air pressure,” he said.
The more pressure you pump in, the firmer the ride and the more weight they will take. “With stock seats, you can’t adjust to your weight. Whether you weigh 120 or 350 pounds, you can with AirWave. Another advantage is that our pedestals only have two inches of travel, so you do not bounce around in your boat compared with competitors,” he added.
Bauman said that he chose to support AIM because of its format, its growing reputation and its popularity. “AIM has a great format in Catch-Record-Release™. And, it’s growing fast. So many are going to it because of how well it’s run.”
