AIM Reschedules For A Weekend of Walleye:

We’re Heading To Wisconsin, For A July Double-Header

Since the first tournament for the Aim Weekend Walleye Series in 2020 was postponed in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, we’ve been searching out a replacement.

So how about this? How about ONE weekend and TWO events to create a mega weekend of walleye with as much as $51,000 large on the line? That’s right, Saturday and Sunday, July 18 and 19, Two One-Day events--it’s a Double Header, in the great walleye town of Oconto, Wisconsin!

“Since the first event of 2020 in Wisconsin on the Fox River was cancelled, we only felt it was right to have a H-U-G-E make-up contest  on the Bay of Green Bay,” said Denny Fox, AIM national tournament director.  “With most dates filled for 2020, we used a plan from the past: Two events, one weekend.  AIM has done this in the past with great success and acceptance from our anglers,” Fox added.

And the potential of a $51K payout for both events will make a weekend here also mightily sweet, Fox explained. “Since there is now a potential for $25,500 total at stake for each, including $9,000 to the winner of each event for a 100-boat field, it will make for an extra special double-header that our anglers will be running and gunning for at Oconto.”

All teams who registered for the Fox River event will be contacted via email. These teams will have the option to move their entry to the new event or get a refund. Then, Oconto will open to any other interested team on a first-come, first-served basis.

“Teams and Fan Nation, we’ll have more updates after we have talked to all 88 teams that were registered for our season-opener that we had to cancel. If you are one of the teams, please watch your email. We need to have all parties respond via email for record-keeping,” Fox said. “Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to AIM’s new Opening Day, now April 26 in Winneconne, WI, which also happens to be Opening Day in North Dakota, too, on the Missouri River in Bismarck.”

As we are doing, please follow government guidelines regarding large gatherings, and stay tuned to both our website and our Facebook page.
