AIM Weekend Walleye Series 2021 Presenting Sponsors Warrior, Yamaha, Announce New Boat, Updated V6 Power

Warrior Boats and Yamaha Outboards are again powering the AIM Weekend Walleye Series  2021 season as presenting sponsors for the eighth consecutive season, as Warrior leads the way with a new boat, and Yamaha kicks off the season with updated high performance V6 outboards.

“We are so happy and indeed lucky to have these two great presenting sponsors back with us again for 2021,” said Denny Fox, AIM national tournament director. “Both Warrior and Yamaha have supported AIM’s Catch-Record-Release philosophy from the beginning, and both continue to advance not only fun on the water but boat and propulsion technology. We’re proud to be associated with them.”

“Both are also showing their support by again providing a new fully equipped Warrior V1898DC powered by a Yamaha 150 four-stroke and equipped with Garmin Electronics, all worth more than $50,000, to the winning team of AIM’s 2021 Warrior Boats National Championship Shootout. That event kicks off on Wisconsin’s challenging Petenwell Flowage June 4-5,” Fox added. “And both are also offering qualified top-finishing teams cash incentives through Warrior Cash and Yamaha Power Pay programs in all AIM tournaments.”

Warrior introduced its largest and most capable boat yet in its fleet of nine smoothest riding, and driest craft on the water in January after extensive testing on waters from the Dakotas to the Great Lakes. Its new V238DC is proven through testing across the Midwest to be the most versatile, best tracking and driest in its class, with the capability of handling up to 450 horsepower on its industry-topping 30-inch transom.

Standard features include Aqua Traction non-slip flooring, a 112-pound thrust Minnkota Terrova or optional MotorGuide bow electric, room for up to 28 rods up to 12 feet long, enough storage for a pickup truck load of tackle and gear, an AGM type 31 starting battery, onboard smart charger, a dual-disc brake tandem axle trailer, and Warrior’s lifetime warranty that others cannot come close to.

At just under 2,400 pounds, 238DC has the most bow and cockpit space, the most storage, and is the best riding and best tracking in its class, says Kent Andersen, Warrior national sales manager.

Warrior cash incentives are eligible for the top finishing AIM Warrior team, as well as first, second or third-place finishes. Go to the Warrior Cash link at the bottom of the Warrior Boats home page for details and to sign up.

Yamaha’s updated line of V6 power boasts new features for the 2021 season. Both the F250 and F300 Offshore Digital Electronic Control models now come with Digital Electronic Steering (DES), Digital Enhancing Reverse Exhaust (DERE) and improved lower unit designs. DES allows for smooth steering that only draws power when in use. When used in reverse, DERE keeps exhaust bubbles out of the prop wash below 2500 RPM, resulting in outstanding control when backing down on fish.

Yamaha’s new Helm Master boat control system offers joystick steering with single motors, more automated fishing modes and a true autopilot system.

This season, Yamaha’s enhanced Power Pay program no longer requires anglers to be the original outboard owners. Eligibility is open to second, third and even fourth Yamaha owners as long as the outboard has been warranty registered within the stated time.  Eligibility also extends to Yamaha owners with a warranty start date within the 60 months prior to registering for Power Pay. Introduced in 2019, Power Pay paid out nearly $140,000 bonus money in sanctioned tourneys it its first year alone, so it definitely pays to register. Visit yamahapowerpay.com for all details.
