Anglers Insight Marketing LLC (AIM™) is pleased to welcome Jim Miller to the AIM event staff as the Minnesota Tournament Director of the newly announced AIM Weekend Walleye Series.

Jim has a long history in competitive walleye fishing in Minnesota and has been organizing and running tournaments in the state since 1986. He owned and operated the Minnesota Walleye Trail (2001-2007), and is currently involved with the Leech Lake Walleye Tournament which is the largest open water event held in Minnesota. Jim has also worked extensively with other organizations running tournaments including the Fox Lake Conservation League and their FoxMasters Fishing Tournament.

“We are excited to have Jim onboard for 2014” says AIM board member Brett King “he brings a ton of experience to this position. Shortly into my initial conversation with Jim, I put a “target to hire” on him. He’s been there, done that as far as directing tournaments and was highly recommended by others I’ve talked with. I feel we now have the key ingredient in place for a recipe to success with the new Weekend Walleye Series in Minnesota.”

Jim, who lives in Sherburn, MN, says that he’s eager to be involved with AIM. “I really feel that CRR (Catch-Record-Release) has to be the future of walleye fishing tournaments. It opens so many doors for anglers to fish on bodies of water with restrictive slots or other regulations that discourage tournament fishing. And maybe more importantly, it minimizes the impact to local fish resources.”
