Mercury, Nitro Boats, Navionics, Powrtran return

as AIM Weekend Walleye Series Supporting Sponsors

It’s always nice to see a familiar face on the road, and in this case, AIM Weekend Walleye Series anglers will be seeing four on this year’s tournament trail, as Mercury Marine, Nitro Boats, Navionics and Powrtran return as Supporting Sponsors for all 2016 tournaments across the Midwest.

“Each of our returning supporting sponsors recognize the value of AIM’s tournaments, and especially our trademarked Catch-Record-Release™ format that allows caught fish to be measured and returned unharmed to the same waters they came from for local anglers to target after we’re gone,” said Denny Fox, AIM’s national tournament director. “And, with these four on board, and many of our entrants using their products already, AIM is extremely pleased to have them as our sponsors.”

Mercury Marine created the standard for four-stroke performance with its line of Verado outboards. It offers powerplants from the four-cylinder 175 and 200-horsepower models, all the way to its supercharged, intercooled Pro Four Stroke series from 200 to 300 horses, and at the top, its six-cylinder configurations producing as much as 350 horsepower, for all the power you need.

From the Z7 Sport to the ZV21 Performance Package, Nitro Boats offers anglers tops in quality, and standard equipment. For example, the ZV21 Performance Package includes: two Lowrance fish finders, MotorGuide bow mount trolling motor, a Mercury 9.9. kicker, walk-through windshield, four-bank NOCO battery charger and extra trolling battery. It’s a rugged boat designed for the conditions AIM competitors face.

For finding your waypoints, and more important, getting you to the weigh-in on time, nothing is more important than great mapping programs like those from Navionics.

Whether you use chart plotters or mobile devices, Navionics has a program for that, including those with high-definition detail with one-foot contour intervals up to 90 feet in the U.S. and Canada, as well as webinars that will help you learn more about using your Navionics chart cards and apps.

Powrtran’s performance boat accessories are all made in the U.S.A, and include the Python power steering system for kicker units, a must when it comes to tracking those bottom contours and other structure on your Navionics system with your Merc kicker to put you on more fish.

The Python offers the quickest steering in the industry, just two seconds lock to lock, allowing you to make minute adjustments and quick, tight turns in all conditions, and it mounts quickly with just a few common tools. It can be operated by hand or foot, and there’s even an optional wireless remote, giving you even more freedom to watch your lines while steering true.
