The Future Of The AIM Weekend Walleye Series
Begins With You As A Partner
Since its founding 11 years ago, the AIM Weekend Walleye Series has always been about making the lives of the nearly 1,000 anglers that made more than 1,200 event entries last year easier, so both those anglers, and you, Fan Nation, can have as much fun on the water and off as possible. With AIM’s 2024 season launching in a little more than one month, AIM is introducing more innovations that will make it easier for Anglers and fans to stay connected with the ease of the Internet.
The start of many great things to come is our newly built Angler Profile page.
An Angler Member in AIM Weekend Walleye Series now have an option to build a public profile page. It will carry as much or as little info about the angler as they choose. The profile will have contact info, social media links, fishing experiences and more. It will have a gallery for anglers to load pics and videos of themselves. They will also be able to load their sponsors logos with a hyperlink.
You, Fan Nation will go to aimfishing.com and look at the top menu bar for Angler Profiles and click it. A scrolling drop down menu will appear so you can find your angler of choice, if they decided to use this feature. Simply click on the angler and their page will appear for your review.
ANGLERS, log in to your account at aimfishing.com. You’ll then see a dropdown menu with choice of “dashboard,” and “angler profile.”
Go to “angler profile,” and add information in the named boxes. Your personal contact information will already be there. Do not delete this so no one can see it, simply click the box at the end of each entry space. Each box you check allows that information to go public. More on this below.
If you wish, you can choose to link your favorite social media sites to your new AIM bio page. Next, you can list your boat, motor, and electronics type, as well as information including your favorite lakes, career highlights and more. Return to change or add to your information anytime.
“The beauty of our system is that if you don’t want the public to see this information, you have a choice. At the end of each line, you can check each box to make it public or not. At the upper left of the page, when your information is complete as you wish, you’ll see another box that says make this profile public. Check it to make all that you have checked public for the fans to see, or do not check it to keep your profiler private. It’s up to you,” Fox said.
In addition to those social media links, there is a location below your bio for fishing photos and videos that you wish to post in a Gallery section, as well as a Sponsors section to give a shout out to any supporters that you wish.
This season we have added Picture Gallery and Video Gallery buttons to the event specific page. We will be placing links to photo albums and videos from the event there for easy locating now and in the future.
“We’re already working on even more for you for 2025. We encourage all our teams to dive in and utilize what we’re bringing you today. Fill out your bio information at aimfishing.com and light it up. We want everyone who wants to be involved in making Fan Nation, potential sponsors, and others, including the more than 34,000 followers of AIM’s Facebook page, more aware of you,” he said.
“Fan Nation, who are you cheering for in each of our four divisions? Anglers, this is an easy way to make your name visible,” Fox added.
“Help us continue to build the future of AIM as the country’s most angler-focused and forward-thinking walleye tournament series there is.”
Next up, we’ll detail new sponsors that are onboard for this season, as well as what’s new at our long-time supporters, as we get closer to launching AIM’s 2024 season in early April.
