Mercury Marine Again A Sponsor Of

AIM Weekend Walleye Series For 2019

It’s a tribute to the 2019 AIM Weekend Walleye Series that Mercury Marine again returns as a series sponsor, and exclusive sponsor of the AIM North Dakota Division championship.

“It’s definitely a testament to AIM’s Catch-Record-Release™ format that Mercury Marine has been one of our principle partners for six straight seasons,” said AIM National Tournament Director Denny Fox. “Mercury’s support shows how much that Wisconsin company believes in our philosophy of conserving the resource so future generations can catch walleye as well,” Fox said.

Mercury is also an industry leader in environmental sustainability, outlined in its annual sustainability report that highlights achievements in manufacturing energy efficiency, minimizing engine impact on water, land and air, and working to conserve natural areas.

Mercury’s new V-6 and V-8 four-stroke engines are raising the bar in the outboard industry for innovative technology and environmental stewardship.

Recent honors include being recognized with an International Forum Design (iF) award in the Discipline Product category, presented to the company for its V-6 outboard lineup. Among the world’s most respected independent design organizations, iF International Forum Design organizes the awards each year and has thousands of entries from close to 60 countries compete for the prize.

Mercury’s 3.4L, V-6 FourStroke outboard lineup was officially launched at the 2018 Miami International Boat Show and has been praised around the world for its best-in-class innovation, performance and design.

With that distinctively striking angular cowl, there’s no mistaking one of these four-strokes at the dock.

Other Mercury innovations include introduction of electronic engine controls for multi-engine uses in February 2019, and unveiling docking assist using an integrated Raymarine DockSense system in February 2019.

Mercury also introduced its most powerful Verado yet, a 400hp model, also announced in February. Designed for center consoles, bay boats, pontoons and larger sport boats, it weighs only 668 pounds, the same as the 350hp Verado introduced four years ago. It’s also compatible with the Mercury Joystick Piloting for Outboards system.

From the 9.9 Pro Kicker, to the powerful Verado lineup, whether your fun includes a family day on the water, or going after a trophy, Mercury should be your powerplant of choice.
